I have been able to share my story of determination and hard work to reach my goals. I speak about acceptance and inclusion at all levels.  I also speak about not giving up and setting and exceeding goals. I have been an invited speaker at schools from Elementary, Middle and High School and have lectured as an invited guest at University of California at Irvine Medical School.

I am a spokesperson for the American Heart and Stroke Association.  Advocating stroke awareness and heart health. In September of 2016 I was invited to share my story at the White House in Washington, D.C. on behalf of the AHSA.

I am a wish ambassador for Make-a-Wish, sharing my wish experience to help motivate people to volunteer and raise money to make other children's wishes come true.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been enthralled with dancing. Becoming a competitive dancer at age 7, dancing and training 10 hours a week.  My dream was cut short on a summer day, when I had a stroke that paralyzed me.  Using my training and determination I was able to learn to walk, talk and eat again.  I immediately went back to the dance studio to train and surround myself in the environment I love. Although I am still physically disabled, I have been able to dance in front of thousands of people and have won many awards and recognition for my work.  Knowing how much dance has done for me in my rehabilitation, I wanted to share what I learned and co-founded a dance class for children with physical and cognitive differences.  I am now a proud board member of the Discovery Dance Foundation, which brings dance classes to kids with differences.
